James Bond "Quantum of Solace"
The Alfa 159 featured in the 2008 James Bond film "Quantum of Solace", where it was used by henchmen to chase Bond in the spectacular opening sequence. The thrilling chase was filmed on the roads near Limone around Lake Garda in Italy. The driving was done with high speed, taking many risks on the dangerous roads which once resulted in a serious accident involving two stunt drivers and two Alfa Romeo's. Both drivers luckily recovered. Several Alfa's were completely destroyed during fiming.
The Alfa Romeo 159 is a compact executive car built by Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo. The company has used the 159 name once before on their early 1950s Formula One racing car. The modern car replaces the Alfa Romeo 156, which was built from 1998 - 2005. It was officially unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show.
