General Lee Dodge Charger
The "General Lee", sometimes referred to as "The General" is a 1969 "B" body Dodge Charger from the TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard". The vehicle was named as a reference to the Civil War general Robert E. Lee. This vehicle was featured in all but one episode of the show. Known by its distinctive "Dixie horn" , long jumps and police chases; and more iconic was the duke brothers having to enter by jumping in through the windows due to the doors being welded shut. It is estimated that between 255 and 325 General Lees were used in the making of the series; as they were retired immediately after a jump due to structural damage. The Dodge Charger was powered by a 383 V8 , with either a 2 barrel or 4 barrel option. Dodge produced a total or 89,199 units. This Charger is a stunning and identical remake of the one used in filming of the hit TV show.
