1960 Cushman Golfster
Cushman is a manufacturer of custom , industrial , and personal vehicles. Based in Augusta, Georgia, The Cushman scooter company was founded in 1903 by Everett and Clinton Cushman. Initially supplying engines for farming equipment, pumps, lawn mowers, and boats. They began producing the Auto-Glide scooter in 1936 in an attempt to increase sales during the Great Depression. Having supplied the United States Armed Forces they were widely used in World War II and also as an alternative to automobiles before and after the war. The Golfster as you see here, shows the wide range of vehicles they still produce. With at least 18 Models produced by Cushman ; each also having sub-models with additional options. The Golfster model is a golf cart used by players of the sport. It is offered in Gasoline (petrol) , or electric and in a 3 wheeled and 4 wheel configuration.
