"The Spy Who Loved Me"
The Shark Hunter II submersible is a two-man midget submarine first utilized by Karl Stromberg's forces in the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. A different vessel, now explicitly named "Shark Hunter II" and owned by Wavekrest Marine Research, reappeared in the 1989 film Licence to Kill. The submersible could go to a maximum depth of 450ft, boasted a top speed of 3.5 knots and had a range of 18 to 20 miles, with the battery lasting up to six hours.
As Bond (Roger Moore) and Anya Amasova are approaching Atlantis in the Lotus Esprit S1, they are attacked by Stromberg's frogmen. Two of them use this submarine and launch small torpedoes at the Lotus. The Shark Hunter is destroyed when Anya drops an underwater mine by pushing a button in the Lotus.
